TERMS & CONDITIONS

Disclaimer

Although there are tremendous benefits to overall health and wellbeing, yoga can be physically challenging and carries with it risks that cannot entirely be eliminated. These include the risk of personal injury, or the exacerbation of existing injuries or conditions.

Participant Rules:

You must act responsibility and sensibly at all times.

You must not participate if you are pregnant, or under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs.

Neither your teacher nor the British Wheel of Yoga are qualified to express an opinion that you are fit to safely participate in any British Wheel of Yoga organised sessions.

You must obtain professional or specialist advice from your doctor before participating if you are in any doubt.

All British Wheel of Yoga, Accredited Group teachers or Recognised Teachers are appropriately qualified, with high standards of teaching and best practice.  Where possible, your teacher may offer suitable modifications or adjustments and practices to suit different levels of experience and ability.

Please always let the teacher know before the class if this is your first time practicing yoga or if you are not confident about your experience and/or ability.  Where you are taking part in live-streamed classes, please note that the instructor may not be able to see you at all times.  Where you have declared a health condition, please contact the teacher before the class if you would like to request that you are provided with suitable modifications or adjustments wherever possible.

In all classes whether face to face, live streamed remote or pre-recorded remote, always follow your teacher’s safety instructions and listen to your body.  Where a movement or class is beyond your experience or ability, feels too difficult for you, or you experience any physical or emotional discomfort, please do not continue.

Listen to your body. Follow any safety instructions or suitable modifications or adjustments to the exercise as instructed.

In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by your teacher, participating in this yoga class is entirely at your own risk.

By accessing and participating in this class you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer.

A risk assessment is carried out for every face to face Yoga class.

Class Etiquette

To help create a calm and respectful space for everyone, please take a moment to read the following guidelines before attending class:

• Arrive on time (not earlier than 15 mins) and ready to practiCe. This ensures a smooth and focused start for both yourself and others.

• Inform the teacher before class if you have any injuries, health conditions, or concerns that may affect your practice.

• Remove your shoes before entering the studio AREA – ON THE LEFT AS YOU ENTER.

• Turn off your mobile phone or set it to silent before class.

• No food is permitted in the studio AREA. Only water in non-spillable bottles is allowed.

• Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Yoga is practised barefoot.

• Stay for the full class, including the relaxation at the end. If you must leave early due to an emergency, please inform the teacher beforehand so appropriate support can be given.

Thank you for helping to maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
